Irish Community Rapid Response is happy to support the MERIT 3 project with the UCD School of Medicine.

The MERIT Project supports GPs around the country to respond to medical emergencies in their community as a First Responder.  ICRR are happy to assist this project by providing upskilling and emergency equipment to GPs who volunteer to respond to 999 calls with the HSE National Ambulance Service in their community.

By April 2016 ICRR has assisted over 100 GPs nationally, 8 of whom are living and working in County Mayo.

It’s important to remember that, just like Mayo ICRR, the GPs involved in MERIT do this on a voluntary, if-available, basis only.
